Rita K. Carver, Artistic Director

Emmy Award winning Rita Kogler Carver has worked professionally in the Theatre for almost 20 years. She has worked in Broadway Theatre - both on and off, Regional Theatre, Dance and Opera - both American and European. Productions include An American Daughter, Once Upon a Mattress, A Delicate Balance, The Sisters Rosensweig, Guys and Dolls, The Pointer Sisters’ Ain’t Misbehavin’, and Paper Moon.

Ms Carver has been teaching for fifteen years.  Recent schools where she has taught include New York University, SUNY Fredonia, Dutchess Community College, and Westchester Community College.  Other teaching opportunities have been at industry trade shows as well as many articles in trade magazines. 
Ms. Carver won an Emmy Award for her work on the “2000 Sydney Olympics.” She also won an Emmy nomination for the “Montel Williams Show” as well as a Silver Axiem Award.  She won a Silver Axiem Award for “Elmo’s World.”  She is also under contract with Focal Press to write a new textbook for Theatre classes.  Ms. Carver holds an MFA from New York University.

 

John Carver, Facilities Director

John C. Carver holds a Bachelor of Arts in Theatre from SUNY Oneonta. Mr. Carver’s training includes Music Theory, Music History, and Voice Lessons. Performances include Mixed Ensembles, Jazz Ensembles, Chamber Choirs, Frankatones (Barber Shop), New York State School Music Association Solo and Ensemble Competitions, New York Area All-State Choir. Mr. Carver’s Musical Theatre performances include “Fiddler on the Roof”, “Anything Goes”, “Annie Get Your Gun”, “Pippin”, “Cabaret”, “Mame”, “The Velveteen Rabbit”, “The Legend of Sleepy Hollow”, “The Boyfriend”, “Applause”, and “How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying.”

Mr. Carver has taught Theatrical Makeup Classes including illustration of various techniques and styles of stage makeup to include aging, wounds, and special effects. For BOCES, Mr. Carver has taught an overview of Circus Arts and performance history with extensive hands-on instruction in performance, juggling, clowning, and tumbling. Performance Art classes include extensive hands-on training in Acting, Singing, and Movement. Special skills included juggling and tumbling.

Freelance Acting, Performance Art, and Design work are all within Mr. Carver’s repertoire. He has worked on well over 100 shows on Broadway, Regionally, and Locally; and toured with various Children’s Musicals to schools in the Northeast. Performances included day of educational presentation to teachers and classes culminating with performances the following day. Presentations included background on musical, authors, and source material as well as performance techniques.

 

Bill Domack, Managing Director

William Domack has been working in the theatre for the better part of the last decade. His work encompasses all aspects of production work including directing, producing and designing. Show credits include “A Chorus Line” “Chicago”, “Defiance”, “I Hate Hamlet”, “Once Upon a Mattress” and “Our Town” as well as several dance performances.
 

Bill also has an extensive background in corporate management and fundraising. He has worked with several youth and community organizations to develop and run successful youth and volunteer programs. He has previously served on the board of the Dutchess County Youth Bureau and has received several community service awards including one from the Red Cross.
